Railroad Spike Knives

Railroad spikes knives have a style all their own.  Made from spikes reclaimed from rail lines, the steel can be reshaped in a variety of ways.  From simple curves, to simple twists, to distinctive shapes like the pineapple twist or Rubik's cube twist, Wandering Path Forge offers a variety of shapes and sizes.

Just a reminder though - while railroad spikes are carbon steel, they do not contain as much carbon as most knife steels.  This means that they will not generally keep an edge as well as high carbon steel.  With proper care and sharpening, though, they are a very functional piece of art.
